Description Dimmitrol Tablets (Diethylcarbamazine citrate) are indicated for the prevention of heartworm disease in dogs. Dogs older than 6 months should be tested before commencing diethylcarbamazine. Tablet dosage: give daily at a dose rate of 5.5 mg/kg bodyweight. Dimmitrol Monthly Heartworm Chews contain ivermectin and should not be administered to puppies under 6 weeks of age. Chew dosage: Dogs < 12 kg give ½ a chewable monthly Dogs 12 to 22 kg, give 1 chewable monthly Dogs > 22 kg, give 2 chewables monthly
